At a young age, Jen noticed inactivity and poor eating habits taking their toll on loved ones, and that became the inspiration for her to follow a different path with attention to good nutrition and exercise. Jen became an avid volleyball and softball player, but knew she was never going to have a career as an athlete. She realized she needed another outlet to stay motivated and meet her fitness goals. At the urging of a friend, Jen tried CrossFit and has not stopped since.
Now a CrossFit Level 1 certified trainer, Jen realizes there is no substitute for excellent coaching and training with a supportive group of people.
Jen excels at coaching athletes of all backgrounds to reach new levels and meet personal goals. She understands that the individuals who start CrossFit all have different goals. For some, exactly what they want to get out of the program may not even be clear. Jen strives to help everyone develop realistic, yet challenging goals. She wants to help clients get optimal results in the time they spend at Metro.
Her primary focus is to help individuals gain confidence in their ability to perform challenging physical tasks and continue pushing themselves to new levels of fitness. Jen feels very strongly about the scalability of CrossFit workouts, making it appropriate for anyone who is willing to show up and work hard.
She may ask of you things that will make you step out of your comfort zone, but she leads by example… she’s been at that point where she’s felt like she couldn’t possibly complete one more rep, row one more meter or do one more box jump… but because she did, she knows you can too.
